God makes all things new

Today is a new day. “Behold, I make all things new.” Rev.21:5a

As I notice the grass turning green in my back yard, I think of each blade of grass that is growing anew. Last years` lawn served it`s purpose for last year, but for today, I appreciate the fresh, new blades that are bright and full of life! The brown, dead blades from last year need to be removed, as to not hold back the new life that is wanting to come forth! Today we are also made bright and full of life in the newness of Christ. Set aside the old and make room for the new life that God, through Christ gives you. You are new!

Every moment in Christ Jesus our Lord is a new moment. His mercies are new every morning. He wants us to forget what lies behind and press on to what lies ahead.
God is the great "I AM", not the " I was " or" I will be", but He is in today, in NOW, focused on what is new. His spirit is new, like new wine that cannot be poured into old wine skins. Lets stop bringing our old life into our new life...the two don`t work together.
Accept His new life each day, knowing that in Him, we live in His newness. He doesn`t dwell on the past. Why should we?
